Roomie shows you who on your campus is going through life the way you are. Find a room posted by a student who lives like you, and join clans, the groups at your school built around what people actually enjoy.

Students 16 and older with a school email address ending in .edu. Your email decides your campus, and you only ever see students from your own school.

Enter your school email and tap Continue. We email you a 6-digit code. Enter it and you’re in. There’s no password to remember.

• Check your spam, junk and quarantine folders. School email systems sometimes hold messages from new senders.
• Make sure the email address is spelled correctly.
• Wait for the timer, then send a new code. Codes expire, so always use the newest one.

Tap the gold R. in the top corner of any screen, then Create a listing. Add the title, location, rent, photos and what the place is like. Your room appears to students at your school.

Open your listing and tap the edit button. Save your changes, or scroll to the bottom and tap Delete listing. Clans work the same way.

Gold means you match. Any interest a listing shares with yours shows in gold, and the closest matches rise to the top of your feed. Update your interests from the R. menu with Change interests.

Tap Message on the listing or on their profile. Roomie opens your email app, addressed to their school email. Your messages go directly between you two.

No. Roomie doesn’t own, inspect or guarantee any room, and it doesn’t screen students. Every poster has a school email at your school, but always visit in person before paying anything. See safety tips.

A group at your school built around the way people actually live: hikes, restaurants, fight nights, Bible study, padel, the gym and more. Clans post their next activities so you can join in.

On the Clans tab, tap the question mark to open Who I Am, pick what’s actually you, and tap Show My People. Tap Show All to see every clan again.

Open a clan and tap Sign up? on an upcoming activity. Your sign-ups are listed in the R. menu under Sign-up log, where you can withdraw.

Tap the gold R., then Create a listing, and choose clan when asked what you’re posting. Add a name, a description, photos and your first activities.

Tap the gold R., then Report. Choose what you’re reporting and tell us why. The student is not told who reported them. We review reports within 24 hours and remove content that breaks our Terms.

Open their profile and tap Block. Their listings and clans stop showing up for you and you can’t message them. They aren’t told.

Tap the gold R., then Blocked, and tap Unblock next to their name.

• Meet in a public place on campus the first time.
• Tell a friend where you’re going and who you’re meeting.
• Visit a room in person before paying anything.
• Never pay by wire transfer, gift card or cryptocurrency, and never send a deposit for a place you haven’t seen.
• Read the lease or sublease before you sign, and check your school’s housing rules if applicable.
• If something feels off, it probably is. Report it.
• In an emergency, call 911, or campus police if you’re on campus.

Only students at your school, and only through what you post. When you post a listing or start a clan, they see it with your name, year, major, bio and school email. If you haven’t posted anything, they don’t see you at all. Your interests and Who I Am picks are never shown to anyone. Details are in our Privacy Policy.

No. Every part of it is optional, including faith. Only you can see what you pick, and Roomie uses it to show you the clans that fit you. Deselect it any time.

No and no. Roomie has no ads, no tracking, and never sells your personal information.
